Will my document be edited by a native English speaker?
Yes, we guarantee that your work will be edited by a native English speaker with over 10 years experience of proofreading and editing. All our editors are native English speakers.
What type of documents do you edit for clients whose first language is not English?
It doesn't matter if English isn't your first language, we still provide the same services in all our fields of expertise for non-native English speakers, the only difference is that the price is a slight fraction higher due to the extra amount of work required from our editors.
Do your editors have experience of editing work written by non-native English speakers?
Your designated editor will be a certified, highly qualified, professional editor and proofreader with extensive experience in working on documents written by non-native English speakers.
Can I choose between US English, British English, Canadian English, and Australian English?
Yes, of course. Just let us know which type of English standard you require. We work with editors from the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
I have trouble understanding English expressions and colloquialisms. Can your editor help?
Yes, your designated editor will be fully aware that English is not your first language. In addition to making sure that your English writing is both correct and clear, your editor ensure that your work uses appropriate English expressions and sounds natural to even the most adept English speakers.
Can I write my work in my native language? Would your editors be able to translate it for me?
In most cases, yes! We also offer a translation service that covers a wide range of languages. If you wish to use our translation service as well as our editing services, we would be delighted to help, if we have an editor available who is bilingual in your native language.
If I use translation software to translate my work into English, will you be able to edit it?
The issue with translation software, such as google translate, is that it just translates words, but can't understand what they intend to say, so many of the translated phrases may not make any sense. We would recommend using our translation service or getting your document translated professionally by another provider, before submitting it for one of our editors to work on it. However, if you prefer not to use a professional translation service and only work with a software-translated document, our paraphrasing and copy-editing services would be good options as these services provide re-structuring and re-writing of your sentences.
