Do your editors use specialized screenwriting software such as Final Draft or Scrivener?
All our editors use screenwriting software (such as the latest versions of Final Draft, and Scrivener etc), so if your screenplay is already in Final Draft format, your editor will be able to make highlighted changes and comments on your existing Final Draft file.
I wrote my script in MS Word, without applying film industry formatting. Can you help with formatting?
Certainly. If you have written your work in another format (such as MS word or Apple Pages) and wish your editor to write it and format it in Final Draft format, they will be happy to help.
May I offer you/ my editor a percentage of my film's proceeds instead of your standard fees?
Even if your screenplay or film has the potential to become a huge worldwide box-office success, it may take a while before the film is completed and released to worldwide audiences. For this reason, we will settle for the fees we charge for the services we render. Aside from that, the work is yours and yours alone. You are the author, and its only right that you alone enjoy the profits of your work.
I love the work your editor did on my script? May I know their name to include them in the film credits?
We deeply appreciate the generosity of your gesture, but unfortunately we will have to decline. We want you to feel secure that the copyright is exclusively 100% yours and yours only. Neither we nor our editors require anything for your work except for the fees we charge for the services rendered.
I have used a particular regional dialogue in my script. Will your editors know how to work with this?
Definitely. Our editors are accustomed to working with various regional dialects, styles, and creative approaches. None of your work will be edited by software of any kind, which is usually the biggest culprit in misinterpretation of specific regional dialects and creative styles. If you designated editor is not sure about something, they will be sure to ask about it in the comments section of the edited document we send back to you. And if there are specific things that you don't want them to change please let us know, and they will be sure to leave it as it is.
We are a major film studio and would like to make a bulk/ standing order. Can you offer a discount?
We are open to new possibilities. We are happy to liaise with you regarding larger/ long-term orders to grow our working relationship with you. If you would like to discuss this please contact us and we will do our very best to reach a mutually satisfactory deal.
May I quote what my editor has written about my script/ film project to promote it?
Sadly, this will not be possible. The comments made by your designated editor are solely for the purpose of enhancing your work and helping it become the best version of itself. We want all our clients to feel treated equally, so we cannot endorse any particular work over another, even if its quality is superb.
